7.Swelling & discomfort at I.M. injection site & thrombophlebitis at I.V. injection site.

11.Thrombocytopenia
Contraiindication:
1.Hypersensitivity to Aztreonam
Special Precaution:
1.Renal impairment
2.Hepatic impairment
3.Avoid use together with other beta lactum antibiotics & amino glycosides because additive effects occur
4.Avoid use together with Probenecid, Chloramphenicol, Clavulanic acid etc.
Interaction:
None with gentamicin, metronidazole, cephrodine, clindamycin, nafcillin or frusemide.
Servings:
0.5gm to 2gm I.V. or I.M. twice daily or thrice daily
In severe infections: 2gm I.M or I.V.; 3 times daily to 4 times daily
Maximum dose: 8gm/day
Gonorrhea: 1gm intramuscularly as a single dose
